Yangshuo (阳朔; Yáng shuò) is a popular tourist county and city near Guilin, Guangxi. The small city is surrounded by karst mountains, winding rivers and beautiful scenery. It serves as a fantastic base camp for further exploration.
Yangshuo is popular among Chinese and foreign tourists alike for the natural beauty of its karst peaks, river and caves. The southern county also offers numerous temples, laid-back cafes and bars. Bike riding through the local countryside, rock-climbing at internationally renowned sites, bamboo rafting, witnessing cormorant fishing and seeing the famously beautiful Li River scenery commemorated on the 20 RMB bill are all experiences that draw visitors to the county.
